4/5 ★ – Sotaroni's review of Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

An excellent adaption of the pathfinder tabletop system, as someone who's first drop into tabletops was pathfinder i can tell you that this is incredibly faithful to the source material and incredibly fun for 90% of the playthrough, however the final encounters made me turn the difficulty down due to the vast amount of "lose the save, lose the fight" battles. The kingdom management is fun and engaging and feels like it has an effect on the moment to moment gameplay, the adventure feeding resources into kingdom management and kingdom management providing buffs was a great way to connect two different gamestyles with the ability to automate kingom management if you don't like that stuff. Characters were nice, very few that i didn't like, I softened to the ones i didn't like as the game went on and i did their personal quests, the only companion I didn't like was the gnome, everyone else had some redeeming qualities. Some of the choices have alot of unintended side effects but in a game this big for a developers first crpg you can't expect perfection, I'll probably be harsher in my review of wrath of the righteous but overall this game is one of the better crpgs I have played
