3/5 ★ – SpiderJ95's review of Shadow Man Remastered.

As a pure remaster of an N64 game, it definitely plays like a dated N64 early 3d platformer. Essentially a collectathon, Shadowman Remastered is a little stilted when it comes to its combat or its world pacing (basically you need to collect specific items and then do a boss rush for the final bit of the game). It makes up for some of this weirdness though in its unique designs and tone especially in its boss levels. Most of the game takes place in a metal factory-like hell (which is cool at first), but its boss encounters are the game's highlights. Whether it's roaming through a state prison overrun with undead, exploring London's sewers to fight Jack the Ripper, or being in a cat and mouse game with a serial killer in his family home, they were always fascinating to experience. So if you can deal with the game's age, I'd recommend it for the art alone. If you're looking for a great game overall in a modern sense, maybe look at some videos for a little bit of what you're getting into first.
