One of the most addictive games I've ever played. Played it on switch, played on PC, currently moved to playing on my phone, which is probably the most dangerous locations this game can be installed. I can't exactly haul my Steam Deck around everywhere, so it's great I have this hour sucking, number crunching, time wasting game in my pocket at all times. It's literally just a game about making numbers go up, but god is it satisfying. Creating a combination of jokes that takes you to the final ante to fail right at the last boss is just crushing. It reminds me that I'm a futile man in a careless and cruel world, subject to a random algorithm that cares little for me and less for my feelings. Do I recommend Balatro? No, stay away from this time sink. You have a family and friends and a job that need your attention, not this. Will I keep playing Balatro? Well yes, I still need to clear gold rank and my bathroom breaks have to maintain a certain level of dignity.
