4/5 ★ – Step_GG's review of RoboCop: Rogue City.
PS5 - 25 Hours~ (Shorter if you don’t do unnecessary back and forth exploration like i did 😅), Platinum obtained in the first casual “run”.
After the improvement for the studio that was Terminator Resistance, they’re back with this RoboCop game and they did even better!
The environments feel rich and full, the secondary missions and encounters are fun and add a little more to shape the ending accomplishments and overall story arch of Detroit. The graphics themselves are great, especially the lighting and overall gritty look. Though animations overall could have some more work.
Gameplay is simple and clunky, but somehow being RoboCop made it feel pretty good nonetheless even if maybe not intended, skill tree is a nice addition to customize how you play and the overall action is fun and bombastic.
Music is very on theme and simply flows well, but there are some sections or moments where the lack of music can be kinda awkward.
The story flows well and it’s pretty on brand, cheesy for some, it was great, fun and pretty epic, unfortunately I didn’t watch any RoboCop content before so I can’t talk much about that.
And lastly unfortunately I had some crashes and noticeable frame drops even in performance mode, mostly when really causing trouble on both enemies and environments.
Overall this is the best game by Teyon so far even though the missing quality polish in some presentation and technical areas. Bombastic, full, a good use of brand and most importantly fun!
