Playing the first Borderlands felt like playing the first Uncharted. At its core it’s a good game, but it definitely feels like a first installment with much room to improve. The weapons and multiplayer system were the best part of the game. I thought the story and a lot of the quests were weak. The worst part was that there are virtually zero cutscenes, and most of the story is told through reading the quest log. I felt no connection to the characters and what was happening. But I still had some fun going through all the environments of Pandora, even if traveling was tedious. Borderlands 2 gets a lot of hype so I’m looking forward to the improvements there
