3.5/5 ★ – THEGIDGE13's review of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time.
The "Rescue Team" series of Pokémon games are personally my favorite ones. Being able to play as a Pokémon is such a no brainer idea and it's so cool. The concept of having a team of Pokémon that set out to solve mysteries and rescue lost Pokémon is just so cool, and it's pulled off amazingly in all these games. This game's home base is cool, and as the game progresses, it changes as your relationships with the rest of the rescue team strengthens. This game, however, is just a little bit of the same old thing for me. Gameplay wise, this is literally identical to Red Rescue team and that games counterpart (I think it's Blue Rescue Team, I have no idea). I would have liked maybe some more to the combat or the dungeon crawling at the very least. The story in this one, however, I enjoyed this one a lot more. There's a part in the story involving a kidnapping that really had me pressed to see the end of the arc, and for a Nintendo DS game, that has me impressed.
