3.5/5 ★ – TNGLiam's review of Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist.

Platform: PC Total Time Played: 2 hours Status: Completed* I had to play Dr. Langeskov for my Game Studies class, and I must say for a free game with such a short run time, it is quite fun. The gameplay is extremely basic, but it allows anyone to enjoy its unique game story and goofy charm. The game tricks you into thinking you're going to play a heist game, and instead you end up being one person behind in line to play the game, so one of the backstage employees gets you to help out with the behind the scenes shenanigans, as all of the employees are currently on strike. What ensues is quite fun and enjoyable, and I don't really want to spoil much. Upon a second playthrough, you get the chance to use a Cassette Player in order to listen to tapes hidden throughout the game, all of which are rambles by none other than Justin Roiland, and they are all extremely funny, especially the first one. The only real complaint I have about the game is the completion requirements. As you can see above, my total playtime was two hours, and I put a little tiny asterisk next to "Completed," because although I completed every secret task in the game, there's a glitch in the code where if you attempt to find every hidden pretzel by one of Justin Roiland's characters while doing other achievements, every collectible related achievement locks, and it honestly is really frustrating that they never bothered to fix it. So all in all, this is quite a good freeware game that only takes 15-30 minutes of your time, so I highly recommend playing it once, or twice if you want to hear Justin Roiland's ramblings.
