4.5/5 ★ – Taco_'s review of Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

I'm givin Kirby and the Forgotten Land a 9 out of 10. tl;dr, good game, really cute and fun. Pick it up if on sale and have some spare change. If it had a bit more content, it would be a 10/10 for sure. There are a couple things that are minor annoyances but really nothing that sets off the tone and makes the game not fun. It's such a cozy game like holy cow, it's so comfy. You know a game is good when even the fishing minigame is fun. More content than I was expecting, but I'd say that the game would be better at like 45$ (def grab if on sale). Music is awesome, some of them are definitely going into my playlists. Co op is lots of fun too, I did a bit with jord when he was over and it's definitely a good game that I'd even enjoy replaying with each friend individually, cuz couch co op games are less and less these days. Bandana dee is fun enough to play with for sure, basically just another copy ability. I definitely think there could be some more copy abilities in the game, with only 12 (basically 11 cuz one is sleep). Upgrading the abilities to higher versions definitely offsets this a bit, but even just like 2 or 3 more classic ones like water and rock would be interesting to see. I was pleasantly surprised by the difficulty of some of the bosses, if they didn't give double health and damage up abilities they would be really hard. The puzzles feel like a DK game in how their made, some built into the main path and others in side rooms. Mouthful mode is very fun and like everyone else has said, it's basically just Cappy from Odyssey. They work it into some puzzles in an interesting way, some felt kinda useless though. They could've done some more, but it's fine the way it is. If they continued to use this formula, I 100% would pick up future Kirby games. I can't say for certain how long it took me, but it was definitely 20-25 hours and I'd enjoy completing it with friends too so I'll get my money out of it.
