2.5/5 ★ – TalonJedi's review of Atomfall.

A short and bittersweet survival FPS game that scratches that Fallout itch. Although it’s janky at times I thought it was pretty okay. The lack of fast travel though definitely hurt the score for me. I understand the devs wanted you to appreciate the world and develop a sense of wanderlust but it was just an absolute chug fest to get from place to place. The open ended maps weren’t even that large but still your character runs out of breath and stamina relatively quickly and you have to wait like 15 seconds for it to reset. A bit annoying. It is a true survival game though, even on easy or sightseer mode, forcing you to horde pretty much everything. The game also branches out and allows you to see what path you wish to take and help persons A - say F and see which ending you get. Overall, while there is some replay to be had trying to see all the various endings it just did not have the kind of pull a true blue Fallout game would for me to recommend playing thru it more than once. Although with that being said, the game is so damn short, clocking in for me a little over 6 hours, you might expand the playtime saving right before the final section to reload and finish up most of the other character endings.
