4/5 ★ – TheGameNerd's review of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an amazingly fun time. When this was first being shown off, I had my doubts (as many did). It looked kinda generic, just another game based off a movie franchise that wouldn't stick the landing. My initial thoughts were wrong. The team at MachineGames absolutely nailed this, and I had such a great time going through and getting 100% in this.
This game is stunning to look at. There is so much detail packed into just about every single part of each map to fully immerse you into this world, and the cinematography is just so Indy it makes you think you’re watching some lost Indian Jones sequel. Of course helped by the incredible performance of Troy Baker as Indy which is one of the greatest performances I’ve seen in a video game. Music and general sound design is also perfect. The score sounds exactly like an Indiana Jones film and whacking Nazis over the head and the bonk sounds that come with it will never not make you happy.
As for the gameplay itself, it feels great. The game does such a great job at making you feel like you’re Indiana Jones. Cracking the whip at people and doing any of the many puzzles spread out in the game is all enjoyable. The AI is very dumb, like very, but in a way it only helps the game. You’re fighting fascist dick holes, them being absolutely stupid is only par for the course.
This game is worth a purchase at full price and if you have game pass then it is a no-brainer 100% worth a download to try this game out. Even if you’re not all ready an Indiana Jones fan, I fully believe this game has something to offer.
