3/5 ★ – ThePizzaManSam's review of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

There is some really great writing holding this game together. The political threads sewn throughout the game with Geralt (a supposedly neutral Witcher) in the middle makes for a compelling narrative. The games combat is nothing to write home about but is solid once you get it figured out. This game has some of the worst tutorials I’ve ever seen leading to quite a bit of confusion at times. I play a lot of open world games so I’m used to walking around a lot, but wow this game felt like a chore at times. Lots of walking back and forth with nothing interesting to do in between as enemy spawns felt few and far between. A solid precursor to what was to come.
