2/5 ★ – TheRealness408's review of Wild Arms 3.

I'm not gonna lie. I kinda hate this franchise. The gameplay is inexcusably tedious. In a turn based jrpg I can tolerate bad controls, complicated maps, high encounter rates, and obtuse puzzles, but not all at once. The minute to minute gameplay is walk up to object, hit x, run into object, get into battle, adjust position, hit x again, bounce off the object, repositon again, get into another battle, then finally do the thing you wanted. Apply that to parking the sandcraft that will slide around when you try to park if your approach isnt pixel perfect. They brought back the annoying crap where towns dont appear on the overworld until you discover them. That means you get vague ass directions (at the best of times) like go southwest and run around in a field for 30 mins until the town pops up. The only reason this game isnt getting a 1 is because the graphics are pretty, it actually has a western theme finally, combat is actually pretty fun when its not millions of trash mobs. This concludes this rant. Maybe I'll have the patience to write an actual review for part 4.
