5/5 ★ – TwistingStew69's review of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Campaign Remastered.

No game in this franchise comes close to how perfect this is to me. MW2 is the CoD i grew up with and how I got good at shooting games. I vividly remember playing Rust with my cousins and learning how to quick scope and everything i needed to know. Some of my oldest memories of gaming come from these maps and missions. The campaign is literally perfection to me. Infinity Ward really had the perfect balance of grounded and cinematic feeling that CoD campaigns thrive off and this is the best use of it within the franchise. I know a lot of people find no attachment to CoD characters you play as but Roach and Ramirez carry this game for me. I'm not usually a person who likes RPGs or self inserts when gaming but this game might be the exception. Playing as Roach and leading him to his death is a tragedy. Fighting as Ramirez who practically is a hero in this world with how much he does is so fun. The missions are not only the best of the series but also some of the best of any game I've played. It's been years since I've touched this campaign but with each mission I instantly remembered the layout and how to progress because it's stuck with me that much. Every 141 mission makes you feel like a special op and every RAMIREZ GET ME TOILET PAPER mission is just peak. Can't even glaze this game harder if I wanted to. This is the CoD that means most to me. The campaign is my favourite and the multiplayer is where I learnt everything so this game truly shaped me.
