3.5/5 ★ – Tymeris's review of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

Over all Morrowind is a pretty good game but it definitely did not age well. I have fond memories of playing the game when I was younger but at the time I was not old enough to really follow the narrative. So most of my time with the game was running around the world exploring, finding cool weapons, and killing random monsters and npcs. So in 2022 I decided to go back to give the actually storyline a try and I have to say it was rough. The biggest issue was the huge difference in quality of life mechanics that exist in most modern games. Examples being quest markers, fast traveling, autosaves, and hotkey looting controls. That being said once I got into the groove of things and understood how to use the journal efficiently I had a lot of fun with it. There was a level of immersion that was added from having to piece together information from NPCs and quests in the journal to figure out where to go next. If I ever decide to revisit Morrowind again it will be with the assistance of mods to improve the games machanics.
