Was a strong entry in the franchise, effectively blending the open world high speed chases of the Hot Pursuit series with a robust online component that allowed seamless transition between single player and multiplayer. The game truly shined in its intense cop vs racer dynamic, offering distinct gameplay experiences for each side, complete with unique gadgets and progression paths. The visuals were stunning, showcasing impressive weather effects and a palpable sense of speed. While the AllDrive system was innovative, it occasionally suffered from a lack of player choice in matchmaking, sometimes leading to less engaging sessions with random players. Additionally, the constant pressure to evade or chase could feel a bit relentless, leaving little room for casual exploration. Nonetheless, the game delivered a thrilling and visually impressive arcade racer.
