I will never shit on Mario 64’s camera ever again. A solid effort for the little blue guy’s first 3D adventure. Sonic Adventure is at its best in the fast paced sections of the action stages, where the magic from the 2D predecessors shines through. But the adventure stages fall a little short in that they’re a bit empty and lifeless. The voice acting and animations are a “so bad it’s good” situation. It can be very clunky in places, which dampens the fast paced parts. Sometime, it seemed like it was too quick and the hardware was trying to catch up. Overall, a game that everyone should experience and a nostalgic centrepiece for the Dreamcast.
