4/5 ★ – Vole's review of Glyph.

Platform: Nintendo Switch My experience: I really liked it! 😁 Rating: 8/10 With tight controls, interesting level design and a fab art style, Glyph was a treat to play, and a true hidden gem for the Nintendo Switch. Although you may die a lot, I never felt it was caused by anything unfair. Levels are satisfying to beat, even giving you customisations options if you manage to grab them during the levels. There were only two levels I had problems with (I’m looking at you ‘Jagged Valley’ and ‘Mad Hermit’ of which I am yet to beat), but otherwise this game is chock full of content! I enjoyed all the levels, of which came in two different categories: ‘Exploration’ and ‘Time Trials’. I definitely preferred Exploration levels and could even see an open world styled game in the future (similar to something like Super Mario Odyssey), but I still enjoyed the thrill of finally beating a time trial. I first saw this game in a Nintendo Life video and I knew straight away I had to buy it. I was at first going to wait to buy it on my Xbox Series X, but I’m glad I didn’t wait and instead bought it on my Nintendo Switch. This game is perfect for handheld play, being very easy to just pick up and play. This is a great game and I couldn’t recommend it enough!
