2/5 ★ – Wytemi's review of Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.

I don’t typically like Sonic games, but despite the major flaws with this title, I kinda enjoyed it. I had issues with some bugs, frame rate drops, and camera jank, but honestly my biggest issue was lack of direction. So often I didn’t know where to go and no guides online to help but I eventually figured it out. If this game were given the proper development, it probably would have been a 6 or 7 out of 10 for me. Also, the Lyric’s Lair level and the Weapon Factory levels are way too long. There’s a bit of a padding reliance in this game.
