3.5/5 ★ – Zimtiki's review of Princess Peach: Showtime!.

Princess Peach: Showtime is the 2nd solo adventure for Nintendo’s timeless Princess, and sees her saving a theater in the Mushroom Kingdom from a dark entity known as Madame Grape. With the theater’s guardian, Stella, Peach must take on the roles of the missing Sparklas (the shows main stars) and complete their acts while defeating the invading grapes. I don’t know why they’re called grapes, maybe it’s just because they’re purple, idk man. The gameplay here is very simple. You just have a jump button and an action button, which changes functions based on what kind of play you’re in. The gameplays enjoyability actually entirely depends on the type of play you’re in IMO. For example, the detective and mermaid levels kind of suck, as they’ll have you solving baby-brained puzzles that take WAY too long. HOWEVER, most of the other plays are pretty enjoyable, especially the swordsman play and the space play which consist of CONSTANT action. You’ll even find yourself defeating flamboyant grape servants by serving them up a dope-ass extravagant ice skating routine. Honestly, there isn’t a lot to say about this game. It’s a simple concept, it’s pretty easy, but it also has a lot of really fun moments that made me smile. Save the theets! Kill the grapes! Don’t let them destroy the theater! This is a game that I hope I can play with my daughter some day, it’s just cute fun. But fuck, man. Peach is SO hot dude. Please don’t tell my wife but I’m in love with Princess Peach.
