3.5/5 ★ – Zimtiki's review of Stuart Little 2.
Stuart Little 2 is the video game adaption of the film of the same name. I love this movie tbh, but I’ll always remember it as the movie I was forced to see on my 7th birthday even though I wanted to see Lilo and Stitch and was OUTVOTED by my friends which is BULLSHIT because it was MY birthday. Whatever.
The game though? Not bad at all. It’s essentially a simplified collectathon 3D platformer, basically a Mario 64 clone with more simple puzzles/simplified controls. Though the game does very little new, it uses the gimmicks of other 3D platformers if the time and puts them all together into one big mashed potato of platforming fun. As Stuart, you’ll have to explore the Little’s home, Central Park, the sewers, the New York alleys, and a garbage barge to find secret hidden rings that were taken by James Woods, or, the Evil Falcon, whom you have to GRIND UP with your propellor at the end of the game.
This game is honestly a nostalgic trip for me. I LOVED being tiny in video games for some reason, and playing as a wee-little mouse in a big-lil house was the absolute bomb. This game ALSO has a SPRINT button, can we get this in more platformers please? I feels SO good. Gg, childhood game, gg.
