3.5/5 ★ – __griffon__'s review of EA Sports UFC 5.

This is purely a review of the career mode and the gameplay itself. It's solid. The gameplay is extremely similar to UFC 3 but improved upon. The career seemed like it was trying at first and eventually lost its story and became pretty generic. Which I don't necessarily mind, I was playing for the gameplay but one thing that kind of annoyed me was the downtime between fights. Dealing with the media, training, learning new moves or about your opponent all make sense in a game like this except, the menu just isn't smooth enough to make the process of doing these things satisfying. I found myself rushing through these menus and just trying to jump into the fight. Overall, a solid game but nothing too special.
