4/5 ★ – aararo's review of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.

a tale of tragedy to be completely transparent, i lowkey might have rose-tinted glasses while writing this review because i did do my first playthrough of this game with quite a few quality of life mods (including the re-fixed mod by topaztk, the ultimate mix mod by keytotruth, and more) but my praise is mostly for its story rather than the gameplay, which is more important to me personally (even though the gameplay overall is still pretty solid and satisfying imo) ! gameplay wise, bbs is pretty hit or miss for me (especially some of the bosses and the way they are designed), but in terms of its story this game is remarkable and incredibly bittersweet easily one of the best kh stories, if not the best for me personally (granted, i haven't played thru days yet so i can't say for sure) !! bbs is a great addition to the kh series and despite its flaws, i feel there's quite a lot to like about this game :)
