5/5 ★ – aklab's review of Hypnospace Outlaw.

This is such a great game. It really nails the feeling of being online in the 90s, much more closely than I thought it could, and in doing that, also serves as a great example of how games can tell new and different types of stories than other mediums. This couldn't be a book, or a movie, etc. I guess my one complaint is near the very end, where I felt like I was banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what little clue the game wanted me to find. I couldn't even figure it out with the in-game hint system! I didn't want to look anything up online (IRL), so in keeping with the more open, free gameplay of the first half, I just decided to role-play as a guy who never figured that shit out. lol.
