These cars look great! It's enjoyable just to drive around in this game, and the seasonal variations in the environment are a smart way to sorta quadruple the size of the map. The special events—both the big blockbuster blowout ones and the smaller-scale story sequences—are a lot of fun, as are the open-world stunt opportunities. To be honest I'm not the biggest gearhead, so the actual races and car customization stuff weren't a big draw for me. To some extent, it felt like the competitions in the game sort of boiled down to "just pick the fastest possible car," which makes sense, but kind of limits you to just a handful of the game's zillion cars. This was a great Game Pass title for me—I don't know that I would've paid full retail for it, but I'm glad I was able to play it. (It was also cool to put the new Series X through its paces with the upgraded visuals.)
