5/5 ★ – asoola's review of Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far.
Thinking about this game collection always makes me nostalgic, I started my Kingdom Hearts journey in 2019 and I truly have fond memories of my time playing the games.
At the time I felt happiness that I never experienced while playing a game, the endings always made me cry whether it’s tears of joy (Kingdom Hearts 2 ending) or tears of sadness (Kingdom Hearts 1 ending) the games are truly something special every time I finished one I was eager for the next because I was really enjoying my journey with one of the best gaming protagonists and of course I’m talking about Sora.
The story of every game itself is extremely well written every detail mattered to the bigger picture so the games always managed to capture my full attention while playing. It wasn’t just Sora learning life lessons I too was learning with him, I truly connected not just with his character but with every character in each single game and that’s not an easy task to accomplish. Kingdom Hearts games has lots of characters and each single one was unique, well written and interesting. (Whether they have lots of screen time or small screen time) Of course the gameplay and soundtrack are also one of the reasons why the game was so enjoyable to me. (Yes even Chain of Memories gameplay) Kingdom Hearts soundtrack is truly a masterpiece.
I mentioned it above a bit but Sora’s character is truly a character that brings me happiness because of his attitude and how he always wants to make everyone happy, he’s selfless and despite the odds he’ll always hold his head high and face the issue at hand. Sure he may break down and lose his confidence but he’ll always rise back up. I love Sora so much and not enough words can explain how much of a special protagonist he is. This collection will always mean the world to me and playing Kingdom Hearts games is a decision I’ll always be glad I made. ❤️
