4/5 ★ – bryansbane's review of Warcraft: Orcs & Humans.

It's incredible how much fun Blizzard's first effort at real time strategy really was. It laid the groundwork for what became an endless slate of content that revolved around the world of warcraft and did so with ease. The ability to play through both the orc and the human campaigns set a precedent going forward that would be carried on through the rest of Warcraft as well as its younger sibling's series, Starcraft. The gameplay is certainly rough around the edges, but this is a thirty-year-old game from a relatively new developer at the time, it's to be expected. I think looking back on the original Warcraft with eyes that have already seen a treasure trove of improvements makes it easy to see just how much further they had to go and where all the shortcomings lie, but the fun factor was there from the beginning and still is. I'd recommend Warcraft to anyone who enjoys old games and can look past its antiquities. This is where it all began.
