Maybe one of the few perfect games that have come out in the past decade. There’s nothing wrong with it, I can’t think of a single thing. This game is rogue-like boiled down to pure cocaine. While I’m not on the grind as much as I used to be on it, most games cut from a similar cloth as this one really frustrate you when you die, but for this game, each death makes you wanna play and die more! The addition of a meta leveling system ensure that even after having to restart, there always feels a progression. That combined with world class art, music, dialogue, and story and how relationships feel like an investment, it’s definitely a masterpiece.
