2.5/5 ★ – codygamerandy's review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
I was disappointed. To be honest, I did not enjoy my time with this game as much as I had hoped. It feels very basic compared to the first game in almost every aspect, except for the map size (which is not a benefit in this case).
Things I liked:
- The visuals of each level and the some parts of the map design
- Increased customization options (also for BD)
- Different types of enemies compared to the first game
- Lightsaber finishers
- The ability to respec at any time (for a price)
Things I did not like:
- Repetitive encounters with the same enemy types
- Many animal enemy fights were dull
- Most side characters were unimpressive; Bode was decent but predictable
- The main villain follows the same clichéd trope often seen in Star Wars
- The map size is excessively large. While I understand it's an open world, much of it consists of just walking to other locations. There’s no need for that much empty space; it should have a purpose or at least offer some interaction.
In the end this game just kinda exists. I wanted to play other games during my entire time spent with this. While it isn't all bad, it still falls short in comparison to other options available. Wait for sale/ avoid
