The best Pokémon game since Emerald version. I am absolutely, positively addicted to this game. Pokémon Legends: Arceus is imperfect, but it’s a huge step in the right direction. The graphics are a little rough, the tutorial is a bit too lengthy, and the (voiceless) dialogue is super long-winded, but dude… This is the Pokémon game I’ve wanted for as long as I can remember. Catching Pokémon, studying them, uncovering their secrets, and all of it wrapped in a story that actually drew me in a bit, especially near the end. The way your Pokémon research and progress actually helps to change the village and improve the peoples’ overall perception of Pokémon feels really natural. I also found the game to be somewhat challenging as well, which is the exact opposite of my experience with recent Pokémon games. Pokémon Legends: Arceus let’s you feel like you’re in an episode of the anime come to life, and is the closest thing we’ve ever gotten to living in a Pokémon world. Ok, I beat the main quest, now it’s time to catch ‘em all.
