4/5 ★ – crthwrstlsr's review of The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve.

This is a great conclusion to the Great Ace Attorney side games. Whilst i personally found the first game to be more enjoyable, these spin offs are the best within the Ace Attorney series These characters are immensely entertaining with an enthralling story to boot. And with a soundtrack that is tantalising to hear, there’s little to criticise about this game. **SPOILERS** The few and far between criticisms i do have about the game are still important. The first of which is the predictability of the Big Guy (aka the reaper in this game). I found myself comparing him to Damon Grant from the rise of the ashes case in the first game. Both are very influential with a means to manipulate those around them to do their bidding. Both seek for a wrapped sense of justice and stop at nothing to achieve it etc. Hell, even the break down scenes of the two characters are akin to one another. I wish Ace Attorney would stray away from this troupe - it becomes very boring after a while. Secondly, i found this game to have too many twists, as if at every moment it was always trying to one up itself by going look at this important story just kidding it was this guy just kidding it was this woman etc. I really wish the plot wasn’t just twists and turns every two seconds - i’m not looking for a liner path in these games but at times it made it hard to answer the story when all i could see ahead of me was another twist. But this game has a very well written scottish character in it sooooooo 4/5. :)
