3.5/5 ★ – cvilstrup's review of Hogwarts Legacy.
All controversies aside, if I had to describe Hogwarts Legacy in a few words, it would be that it's a purely fun action game that holds a plethora of quests, areas and creatures to find and explore. It feels great to flick around your wand performing all sorts of spells such as Expilliarmus, Flipendo, Confringo and many many more. The aiming system snaps on nice and easy but can sometimes change in the last second when it becomes a hinderence.
The story is fine but since it took me some time to play, I lost track of certain minor characters. The side quests varies from rather mundane fetch quests to much more interesting quests, such as the special Hogsmeade shop quest.
A few cons of the game include some minor visual bugs, NPC's looking sort-of "not mentally present" when you talk to them and the very last mission that triggers the credits, which requires you to reach level 34, which I refused to do.
All in all, Hogwarts Legacy is pure wizard-or-witch fun that it sure to please most action-adventure game fans.
