Tristin Gaming Review: MEGABONK (2025) :x:Woke: Multiple female characters to play as (woke) Megabonk is the newest version of a “Vampire Survivor” clone, but it’s actually a fun one. The first one that Ive played that has a 3d element and a bit more RNG to it. The Roguelite aspects make this game enjoyable to replay for quite a while, I believe I have 35 hours on this $10 game. This game is very specifically catered to people who enjoy survivor-type games. It has a steep difficulty curve at the end of each level and if you don’t properly level up/play aggressively you will get rolled in what feels like an instant. That can be frustrating, but it is fair in its consistency once you get the hang of it. Someone described the graphics as “something you’d see the Smiling Friends play in the background” and honestly it does not get more accurate than that. You don’t play this game for the graphics or even the attempted humor honestly. It is EXTREMELY internet millennial coded (derogatory). Still the balancing and gameplay are fun. Shooting for high runs on the leaderboard is fun as well, since there is a worldwide leaderboard reset every couple of weeks and new balance patches. There’s a friend one too on Steam but no one else has it rn so I’m the best, undisputed. Overall, don’t get this game unless you really want a new vampire survivors. (7/10 very fun, no depth)
