4.5/5 ★ – delaydan17's review of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

87/100 Well for all the fans, including myself, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was (almost) exactly what we hoped for. Aside from the wonderful titular Tiny Tina, we got a surprise in a fantastic performance by Will Arnett as the antagonist: The Dragon Lord. Except. The game feels so much more like something halfway between a full game and a dlc to be worth its release price. There simply isn’t enough content, and the DLCs are especially bad in this regard. The way “Mythic Rank” is set up to only be available to maxed out characters also majorly neuters the replay value compared to the FPS masterpiece Borderlands 3 and its “Guardian Rank.” Also I found the two side commentators annoying. Still, there is so much good stuff going on here. Tiny Tina is a hilarious DM and The Dragon Lord a hilarious and surprisingly nuanced antagonist. Don’t want to spoil anything but the musical performance with Torgue to bomb the sea monster and then what happens instead was absolute comedy gold and really made me laugh out loud. Gameplay wise, Wonderlands is much like the phenomenal Borderlands 3, which is not a bad thing at all. The gunplay is exciting and smooth, and I loved the replacement of grenades with spells. The ability to mix and match character classes and create your own totally unique character was great, but like the game itself felt lacking in content compared to a true borderlands entry. There should have been more classes and a higher level cap. Still, if you’re in the market for more high quality Borderlands content, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will absolutely not disappoint. You’ll just be left wanting quite a lot morederlands.
