Friday the 13th was a lot of fun and I say that as someone who didn’t enjoy multiplayer games for most of my life. It’s a game worthy of 4 or 5 stars if it wasn’t for a couple of hiccups. 1. The game had a number of bugs that range from funny anecdotes to tell your friends about or share on social media to downright crashing your game and making it almost unplayable. I encountered these issues infrequently but often enough that it makes a difference in how I think about the game. 2. The game became wrapped up in a legal battle over who owns the rights to the Friday the 13th franchise. Due to that legal battle the developers were prohibited from adding additional content they admittedly had plans for such as additional iterations of Jason Voorhees. I decided to categorize this game as “abandoned” and write this review because there wasn’t a campaign to beat and I didn’t complete it by getting all the trophies.
