4/5 ★ – elile420's review of Portal Stories: Mel.

Played through the whole game on advanced mode without realizing until the end. I really like the puzzles in the game. They were a lot harder than Portal and Portal 2 but never really felt unfair imo and were very rewarding to beat. The only part of the game I didn’t like gameplay-wise was the turret replacement since it was basically just the same as the Portal 2 puzzle except even more boring. I really didn’t care about the story and thought a lot of the comedy just kinda sucked. I already didn’t really like Portal 2’s sense of humor that much, but there were at least a few moments I thought were genuinely funny and clever and I could respect how influential it was even if I kinda wish it wasn’t. In Portal Stories: Mel though I think I laughed once. Fortunately the puzzles more than made up for it.
