3/5 ★ – enovo15's review of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Played in 2022 Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War doesn’t do anything groundbreaking (outside of casting Creed Bratton), but is another solid campaign in the Call of Duty library, with a decent enough story and the same gameplay we’ve come to expect from a CoD game. The campaign was short, but most of the missions were enjoyable, with two missions in particular that really stood out as highlights of the game. There were a couple places where the player can make choices, which can lead to two completely different final missions, which was a nice concept, but both final missions were very underwhelming. The second or third mission from the end seemed more like the climax of the game, with a finale that left me feeling disappointed. I did really enjoy the collectible intel scattered throughout the missions that allowed you to decrypt some info to fully complete the optional side missions. Overall, the campaign is nothing special, but is a fun way to spend a couple hours, and from what little I played of if, the multiplayer seemed better than that of the more recent multiplayer modes I’ve played in the CoD franchise.
