4.5/5 ★ – enovo15's review of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

Played in 2021 Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is another in a long line of great games in the Uncharted franchise. Retiring series protagonist Nathan Drake for a spin-off game starring side characters Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross, Lost Legacy takes players on another wild ride trying to track down an artifact of legend and stop a villain who is after the same thing for his own reasons. I was a bit skeptical going into this game, particularly because, while I loved Chloe in Uncharted 2, I wasn’t as big a fan of Nadine in Uncharted 4, so I was unsure how I’d feel about the two of them together. However, the story in this game does an excellent job taking them from reluctant partners to great friends throughout their journey, and it’s a treat to watch that progress. As far as story and gameplay are concerned, there wasn’t much new or innovative here. To me, it felt like classic Uncharted in just about every aspect, but I enjoyed every game in the series so that was what I was hoping for. The scenery and graphics in this game were stunning, and the final sequence of the game was challenging and exhilarating, and by the time credits were rolling, I didn’t want the game to end. With the way Uncharted 4 ends, it would almost be a crime to pull Nathan Drake back in for another story, but based on how Chloe and Nadine fared as the stars of the show, Uncharted could have a bright future without the longtime protagonist in the spotlight, if Naughty Dog decides to continue the franchise, which is truly hope they do.
