Sly Cooper is a stealth-platformer heavily focused on Heists. It’s set on the late nineties, in a world inhabited by anthropomorphic animals that mimic people’s attitudes and characteristics. The looks, sounds and feels are of a heist/police movie, set in noir and cartoonish aesthetics. The narrative is great and the humour ever present. Each adventure is a heist move, carefully planned and every member must perform its role to make the grand plan work. The protagonist is Sly, a thief raccoon and a marvellous cast known as his gang. Bentley, the turtle and brain/tech inventor. Murray, the hipoppotamus and the muscle of the gang. And Carmelita, the fox and the Anti-hero, that has a mission to arrest sly but also has a romantic crush on him. The plot, memorable characters, fun gameplay and cartoon graphics make this one of the best platformers of its time.
