5/5 ★ – fabrici0sf's review of Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course.

As the only dude crazy enough around my friends to get the platinum trophy on Cuphead back in 2017, I waited for this DLC for five years, and I loved it. Cuphead's DLC expands mainly in four elements: more bosses, more challenges, one secret challenge and a gameplay additional: Ms. Chalice. The new bosses look AMAZING, I dare say even better than the OG crew. The artstyle used is even more dynamic and fun. The bosses themselves are greatly designed, I loved all of them - just like the first game, no flaws. The chess challenges - Battles that focus on Ms. Chalice's parry upgrade - are a fun different type of boss battle, very complementary for the gameplay, too! The only thing I'll say about the secret challenge is: They made it even harder to get the platinum trophy. And boy, is it harder. Ms. Chalice feels much stronger than Cuphead and Mugman, but somehow, the difficulty level of the boss battles doesn't seem to change. She has an invincibility move, an easier parry, a double-jump AND 1 extra HP, and still, this game is as hard as it ever was, and I love it. Ms. Chalice really is fun. I'll say it: don't take my opinion on this one for an impartial one; Cuphead is one of my big favorites, and I loved having one delicious, last course with this game. (Haven't gotten 100% in DLC, but I'll be back someday.)
