4/5 ★ – farmboy's review of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Easily the coolest Zelda. I would love another entry that delves into dark fantasy, especially in a post Dark Souls world. The designs for the characters, enemies, dungeons, bosses, and Link himself hit an all-time high for me. I also love the story. I still have some questions regarding exactly what Zant and Ganondorf wanted (to build a giant prism over Hyrule Castle?), but Midna and the supporting cast make for a really satisfying conclusion. I especially loved Link's relationship with the villagers. Seeing Colin return home with his own sword and shield was perhaps the highlight of the game for me. Adventure turns boys into men like nothing else. The game kind of runs out of steam towards the end. The last few dungeons feel somewhat incomplete, and the lack of meaningful sidequests becomes more and more apparent, but overall this game has aged really well for me. I would take it over Wind Waker any day. In that little baby game you can't rip an enemy's throat to shreds with your wolf teeth. And if you can't do that, are you even playing a video game?
