This game is actually called Expelled but honestly the former name kinda slaps. I was excited to play this after how much I enjoyed Inkle’s previous timeloop puzzler- Overboard. Expelled sticks close to the established format but there’s a change in the structure of the game. Instead of slowing piecing together the puzzle with new challenges, the whole story is laid out for you to tackle in one run if you so wish. Didn’t love this change. I ended up with a lot of aimless runs and once I did figure everything out- it didn’t feel as satisfying as I wanted it to. I do really like the premise here though and there’s lots of fun secrets to find. It doesn’t over stay its welcome either making it a perfect weekend game.
