3.5/5 ★ – habitablestorm3's review of Gravity Rush 2.

If the developers had done about half as much work, Gravity Rush 2 would have been an amazing game. + Exploring the huge, colorful setting is so much fun. I spent hours just wandering around, grabbing gems, and chatting with people + Combat and gameplay in general can be very fun. Flying around wide open spaces and kicking the crap out of angry monsters is great + Wonderful music + There are several different characters and plot threads, most of them quite interesting, but... - The game struggles to balance its many different story beats. Very disjointed storytelling, especially in the last quarter of the game where the developers remembered that they had to wrap up the cliffhangers from the first game - Every side mission I played was uninteresting and boring to play. - Very, very repetitive. Many missions feel pointless entirely, and the rest wear out their welcome by having you do the same thing seven or eight times in a row. The game easily should have been ten hours shorter - A few bosses and levels are just poorly designed. Gravity Rush 2’s camera and controls work perfectly in wide open environments, but throw a tantrum if you try and navigate tight spaces, so why the developers made every fourth mission the Death Star escape is beyond me
