A surprisingly challenging and jaw droppingly beautiful Metroidvania that stands as one of the most memorable games I have played in years. Fast and kinetic platforming, pin point reflex’s and precise combat all cumulate together to make one tough as nails game. It can get frustrating but it pays off. The Definitive edition adds into two short but sweet DLC areas: Black Root Burrows and Lost Grove. Neither are particularly amazing but add two new special abilities and relatively small areas that require a new set of skills to reverse. Mesmerising. Played on XSX
