3/5 ★ – izacreynolds's review of Persona 5 Strikers.

Strikers, or the more creative name it goes by in Japan 'Scramble', is a nice blend of a Musou game and Persona 5. It's story is fairly basic and isn't as engaging, exciting or mysterious as Persona 5 or Royal. It's gameplay is very much the highlight, mixing the basics of Dynasty Warriors combat with Persona 5 flair. Switching Persona, dashing around enemies, using the environment and All Out Attacks are fun and make the progression very natural. Some Boss fights can get a bit tedious with the mindless button bashing territory it leans in to. But, it's satisfying entering battle with a classic surprise attack, hearing the classic and remixed Persona 5 jams and spending more time with the Phantom Thieves is just enough for a huge Persona 5 fan like me to enjoy. I was sad to see the confidant system go and even a few other details that Persona 5 is known for but due to the games structure, it needed to be simplified. As an action JRPG, it works a ton in the way things have been trimmed. I'd honestly be happy with no Persona 6 and just constant Persona 5 sequels and spin-offs for a while.
