3/5 ★ – jacklg's review of Inazuma Eleven 2: Blizzard.

A gem from my childhood that i had spent countless hours in, returning to Blizzard now was bound to be disappointing compared to the memories I held. And yeah, it has far more flaws than I remembered. The detailed recruitment system that gives the game such a great postgame and creates so much variety is really held back when many parts of the story force you to play a certain way using certain characters. The story is insane and ridiculous, which is hardly a flaw, but the way the game sometimes takes itself so seriously can be borderline laughable. The gameplay is fun and unique, but I've hit a skill ceiling where I can win most games with any team, and it becomes harder to challenge myself until the postgame when you have to use the overpowered story team. It still has many aspects I love, the goofyness, the dramatic special moves, the loveable characters - but its constricting linearity can really bog down the experience
