3.5/5 ★ – jake84's review of Titanfall 2.
Wish I thought this was better. The campaign did by no means live up to the hype or my expectations. I’ve heard so many great things about it, and it just felt like an average-to-good Call of Duty campaign in the Advanced Warfare days. It was also very shortlived - about six hours, and it ended when I thought we were about to go into third act. On the plusside it didn’t outstay its welcome. It did however have a couple of borderline great setpieces. The time travelling segment that reminded me much of Dishonored 2, but I think those two games came out within a couple of months of each other, so no one stole from each other. And the underground construction site that is way more inventive than it sounds.
I also loved the fact that when the game ended we got a credit scene and a look at all the characters and the actors like the ending of fucking Predator. As if I could remember any of them. The only thing that had a truly memorable personality here was the Mecha. It had more personality than the entire rogue’s gallery. Small three and a half stars.
