5/5 ★ – jaymewmew's review of Before Your Eyes.

One of the best narrative experiences I’ve ever had. Using a camera to track your eyes and advance the story when you blink is so innovative, it pulls you into the story in a way that games rarely do. As you experience the memories of the main character, Benjamin Brynn, your eyes will often betray you, blinking into new scenes and moments in the middle of conversations. It creates this incredibly true to life feeling of missing out on small moments, or trying to recall a memory with some of the details blurred. It’s also just emotionally devastating, especially if you’re a parent. It’s a short experience, you can get through it in about 1.5 hours, but it’s one of those rare experiences that I immediately wanted to replay to see what I missed and if I can keep my eyes open just a bit longer. I can’t recommend this game enough. Play it.
