2/5 ★ – johnschwartz's review of Middle-earth: Shadow of War - The Blade of Galadriel.
PS4
As if WB wasn’t scummy enough for forcing a micro transaction store into a game that had no business having one, here is 1 of 2 DLC packs released for Shadow of War that feels like it only exists to be a line item on a quarterly report. I understand why the nemesis system was basically gutted for this DLC (development costs would be way too high to write new Uruk encounters) but when that’s gone it leaves you with an experience that’s missing it’s x-factor. Combat is still mostly satisfying but they gave Eltariel an ability that can be easily abused against most enemies. The story is fine but not particularly noteworthy. I’d only check this out if you just can’t get enough out of Shadow of War.
