5/5 ★ – keat's review of Detroit: Become Human.

Spoiler Free!! The pinnacle of choice-based story games. Detroit: Become Human solidified my love for choice-based story games for life. Every little action has its consequences and rewards, down to what door you choose to exit a house (no joke). With this much variety, there’s over 200 different endings you can get. The effort put into this game is insane. The graphics are astonishing. The soundtrack (especially Connor’s) is one of the best game soundtracks I’ve ever heard. Every single scene playable and unplayable is so rich in detail and so many things to discover, not to mention how beautiful the game is. The story of this game is like no other. You get to play 3 different characters, all with different story lines, with 2 of the characters crossing over, and if you choose the right path you have to choose which of the androids you want to control for the rest of the game. The amount of different ways your story can play out is unimaginable. The only complaint I have with the game is the extremely tedious trophies you do to get the platinum. The two I can remember the most is the one where you have to collect every. single. magazine in the game, some of which are locked behind “play”walls, and the one where you have to kill Connor 8 times in one run, which takes a minimum of 2 hours from scratch. Overall, Detroit: Become Human has solidified itself as my all-time favorite game. The amazing graphics mixed with the perfect and variety filled story makes for a game you’ll never forget. Just make sure to keep Alice warm!
