3/5 ★ – loona's review of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney − Justice for All.

i had significantlyyy less fun playing this game compared to the first. the characters in this game are around as compelling as the ones in the first game, yet the cases are so so much less fun to go through. they often end up too convoluted in order to pull off a twist, incredibly predictable, unsatisfying, or a combination of the former. not only this, but especially in the last case, the presentation of evidence made NO sense to me in the first half. it just didn’t make sense. to top it all off, the antagonist in this game is replaced with a lukewarm, unexciting stand-in. the first game was great, and was really enjoyable largely because of its antagonist. to have that taken out is a massive disadvantage for this game. this game still has the amazing foundation that the first one did. it still had its funny moments, and i really loved the last case. however, there’s a lot of things that really watered down my experience.
